Lay-out:
You enter the building and take the stairs to the secure front door, where you enter the apartment. The view from the living room is excellent, and the high, beamed ceiling contributes to a feeling of spaciousness.
The wooden floors are traditional fishbone pattern.
The fully furnished living room has a fireplace and high-quality, flat-screen TV and stereo system. The dining area and kitchen are in the middle of the house, where there is plenty of daylight, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open wide, opposite the roof terrace.
The ultra-modern Italian-design kitchen is top quality and fully outfitted with all modern appliances.
The back of the house is two levels, as this was originally two separate houses that have been connected. It is a few steps up to the master bedroom at the back of the house.
The high ceiling and the original, open beams add to the romantic atmosphere.
Back to the landing and a few steps down you find the 2nd bedroom/office, furnished with a futon-sofa-bed as well as a desk.
Here you also find the modern, luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower and floor heating. Top-of-the-line washer and dryer are in the 2nd bedroom/office.
There is ample storage in the apartment, as well as additional storage room in the basement.
The Oude Waal is in the centre of Amsterdam, close to Central Station and the Nieuwmarkt. If you are looking for a very comfortable, high-class accommodation in the centre, you have found your home-away-from-home.
